The ZL (LZ) type elastic column pin toothed coupling uses several column pins made of non-metallic materials, which are placed in the mating holes between the two halves of the coupling and the inner surface of the outer ring. The coupling is connected by transmitting torque through the column pins. This coupling has the following characteristics:
(1) The transmitted torque is large, and for the same torque, the rotation diameter is mostly smaller than that of the gear coupling, with a smaller volume and lighter weight, which can partially replace the gear coupling.
(2) Compared with gear couplings, it has a simple structure, fewer components, and is easier to manufacture without the need for gear machining equipment.
(3) It is easy to maintain and has a long service life. The nylon column pins can be replaced by removing the baffle.
(4) Nylon column pins are self-lubricating materials that do not require lubrication, which not only saves lubricating oil but also purifies the working environment.
